Filmed a quick little tutorial on one of my favorite ways to make soup in the instant pot! I make some variation of a soup or chili recipe almost every week because it's easy, the ingredients are cheap, and with the instant pot it's really fast!
This is 100% meal prep and budget friendly! Based on the USDA National Retail Report these are the average prices for all of the ingredients in the recipe.
Celery = $1.28 per pound
Carrots = $0.74 cents per pound
Potatoes, russet = $0.91 cents per pound
Onion, yellow = $0.72 cents per pound
15 bean bulk/package (Hurst Hambeens 15 Bean Soup, Cajun, 20 oz) = $1.98 per bag at Walmart | approx. $1.99 per pound of 10 bean mix in bulk at Sprouts
garlic = $1.00 per sleeve
Vegetable Broth = Can range anywhere from $1.20 to $3.50 depending on the brand, health claims (low sodium), and grocery store.
I went to my local H-E-B to buy all of the ingredients for this recipe, and it costs me $8.52 without tax. This recipe easily makes 20 servings. That comes out to be $0.42 cents a serving!
Hope you enjoy it and make it yourself!
